Lately I have been getting a bit tired of driving a larger sports car with Honda Civic gearing, so I figured why not go with the TT setup since I have a brand new TT subframe sitting in my basement anyway. I am strongly debating switching my NA rear setup to a TT. I have both setups including driveshaft ready to go in and therefore money is no issue. If I decide on the TT, I will be welding in the extra plate to use the NA toe rods. For people who go to the road course and have driven on both setups: Did you really decrease your lap times with the NA 4.083 vs the TT 3.692 gearing? If so which turns and at what track do you think it benefited the most? Also, I noticed that Kuah still runs the stock TT diff. I used to really favor the NA gearing because of the responsiveness but also because of less weight, but I realize now that the rear is just too light. I think my Z needs that extra weight low down in the rear to balance the front and stick to the road better. What do you guys think? I was just about decided on switching to the TT setup until I had a nightmare last night where I installed the TT rear-end and I was always out of my powerband in each gear while on the track...I couldn't sleep!
